She has had extensive formal training in Europe and America and she is currently studying towards her executive Master of Business Administration (MBA).
She also holds an Associate membership with the Insurance Institute of South Africa. Mr. Makatiani is currently leading a continent-wide (Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Ethiopia) effort to develop research based insights on the state of cyber security in Africa.
Before Serianu Limited, Mr. Makatiani worked with Deloitte and Touche, RSA Security, EMC Corporation and Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. Mr. Makatiani has a strong passion for Cyber security issues with an emphasis on research based consulting. He has over 15 years experience in the ICT industry– focusing on ICT strategy, Analytics, Risk and Compliance. He has led numerous engagements across the world– including Kenya, United States, Israel, Ireland, Singapore, China, Egypt and India.
William holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a Masters in Science of Finance from Clark University, Worcester, MA USA and is also a graduate of EMC Corporation’s Management Leadership Programme.

Daniel Ndegwa is a result-driven professional with 4 years of experience in the cyber security field. As a cyber-security consultant he has a keen eye in identifying key cyber security risks and guiding clients in developing cyber security strategies that align to the overall business strategy. He has worked in multiple countries across Africa delivering cyber security services across multiple sectors, which include insurance and banking, manufacturing, technology and telecommunication and service industries.
Daniel has a keen eye on the ever changing cyber threat landscape on the continent and has been involved in developing the Africa Cyber Security Report and country specific reports since 2015.
With an understanding that people constitute one of the most significant cyber security risks, Daniel has conducted multiple trainings in an effort to “secure the human” which improves the overall security posture of the enterprise. Some of the target audience include; in-depth technical training for cyber security professionals and IT technicians, cyber awareness for staff and cyber risk management for c-level managers and the board.

Laurie holds a specialist degree BA Community Safety and Socio-Legal Studies Specializing in Offender Profiling attained Cum Laude in 2006 and an Honours Degree in Criminology attained in 2010.
For the past ten years Laurie James has been in a practicing criminologist and specialist profiler. She was primarily involved in the evaluation and assessment of violent and sexual offenders. However, in the last three years her focus has moved to economic, cyber-crime, computer enabled crime the containment of threat in the business environment.
She is a regular guest on International Television News Media, having made guest appearances on CNN, Chanel 7 News Australia and the BBC. She is a published author of 2 bestselling books, and writes for a number of publications on various crime related topics.

Mr Tshoganetso Kepaletswe

Tshoganetso Kepaletswe is currently the Chief Technology Officer of Botswana Communication Regulatory Authority. Previously he was the Deputy Chief Executive – Regulatory Affairs responsible for the technical and economic regulation at the Authority. He has extensive knowledge and experience on telecommunication and broadcasting regulation. He is one of the founding staff members of Botswana Telecommunications Authority, where he has been involved for the past twenty years. Mr Kepaletswe has represented Botswana and actively participated at the ITU World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRC’s), Regional Radiocommunication Conference (RRC) and World Conference on International Telecommunication (WCIT). In addition, he also served as National Broadcasting Board Member for a period of three years.
Mr Kepaletswe graduated with a BEng Telecommunication Systems Management and Design from Anglia Polytechnic University & Cable and Wireless College, United Kingdom and MSc Telecommunication and Information Systems from University of Essex, United Kingdom. He is a Registered Professional Engineer with Botswana Engineers Registration Board (ERB) and a Member of the Botswana Institution of Engineers (MBIE), Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (MIEEE).
