4th Annual African Cyber Crime Conference Prepare Prevent Prosecute Protect

About the Conference

Poor cyber security is increasingly affecting society today. Its impact is visible on a national, local, and personal level. With a few strokes of a keyboard, nation states, terrorist groups, stateless organizations, and rogue individuals can launch a cyber-attack from anywhere, at any time, disrupting and damaging our democracy and way of life.

Following feedback from last year conference this year the effect will be held over a two-day period, with more time spend on panel discussions. This year’s conference will feature breakaway sessions with the speakers. You can book your spots in these sessions in advance. We aim to make this years’ experience highly interactive and with the latest technology on display

The Conference’s mission is to establish a multi-stakeholder consortium that brings together industry, government and academic interests in an effort to improve the state of cyber security on both the domestic and international fronts.

The public and private sector have been equally represented by delegates attending previous conference’s. This conference always brings thought leaders from industry, government, and academia together.

Who should attend

C-level executives, technology leaders, public policy makers, lawyers, forward thinking business owners, students and end users are expected to join us at the 4th Annual African Cyber Conference in September 2018.

Our conference is designed to reflect the growing challenges that cyber security poses by not being contained within the realm of IT alone.

Cocktail Reception

We will be hosting a cocktail reception on the evening of the 12th of September 2018. This will give our guests a chance to network and engage with our speakers.

A portion of the proceeds of this reception will be donated to Stepping Stones, who support the victims of sexual abuse in Botswana. The dark web is used to proliferate both human trafficking and sexual abuse and as such, we at African Cyber have chosen to assist these vulnerable victims in a fight for justice.

Woman in Cyber

We have chosen fuchsia as the colour for this year’s conference in order to highlight the fact that in Africa we need to empower women and encourage more of them to enter into cyber-security and careers in technology.

Just as we did last year in 2017 we have a spectacular line-up of international speakers from law enforcement, the technology world and risk analysts who will examine emerging critical threats in cyber.

When it comes to addressing and ultimately combating cyber-risk, and cyber-crime, we understand that security specialists, programmers, ethical hackers have to find ways to collaborate in order to win the fight against increasingly brazen criminals.
